Houston Cullinaire Explorers

Start of our journey

We found 8 Nova Belgica volunteers to kick off an adventure to explore the cullinaire opportunities in the Houston area.
On April 18 we visited the restaurant

Rattan Asian Bistro

A brief description of the cullinaire experience.
The team ordered the special apetizer "Kobe beef on the black stone". Although the beef did not originate from Japan but from Washington, it was tender meat which you have to grill yourselve this very hot stone. If use the chopsticks it is quite an interesting experience. The main dishes were excellent and the service was reasonable.
They have good and not too expensive wine choices. Several Japanese beers are available but no Belgian beer.
The atmosphere was great. In case you do not want to talk you can enjoy the live music.

The teams conclusion was that this restaurant can be recommended and meets the Belgian taste and service expectations.
